Last updated: April 2026. We keep this simple, we're a travel blog, not a data company.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use BoyceAbroad, which pages are popular, how people find us, and roughly where our readers are from. This is standard analytics data. We have configured GA4 with anonymize_ip: true, which means your full IP address is never stored. We do not use Google's advertising personalization features.
We don't collect your name, email address, or any personal information unless you choose to contact us directly at boyceabroad@gmail.com.
Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish returning visitors from new ones. These cookies contain no personally identifiable information. If you'd prefer no analytics tracking, you can use a browser extension like uBlock Origin or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We also store one preference in your browser's localStorage to remember whether you've enabled dark mode. This is a single on/off value and contains no personal data.
BoyceAbroad uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
Some links on BoyceAbroad are affiliate links. When you click one and make a booking, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps keep the site running. For full details, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
If you're in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold. Since we don't collect personal data beyond analytics (which are anonymized), there is very little to request. For any questions, email boyceabroad@gmail.com.
We'll update this page if anything significant changes. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
